This song is called “Gandalf” and it is one of the songs I created for the 30 Days of AI Song project I’ve been working on for June 2023.
This is one of those songs that is “just for fun”. To be honest, I guess all of the songs in this project are for fun… but I feel like this one is especially so. This is the sort of thing that I think most people aren’t going to do… again, something I could say about many of these songs… so I wanted to make something fun and special.
It actually feels special… until you get to the part of the song where the AI sings the word “courage” which it pronounces “carriage”… there were several instances where stuff like that would happen… across every song… and you can only render 5 a day and there’s no indication of how you can change it. I haven’t played with the songr.ai program lately and they may have a solution… or maybe it’s not THAT big of a deal to them. But it’s a huge downside of the songr.ai program to me and I would imagine to anyone who would want to use the software for a more professional use.
However, the songr.ai website is still a great resource to have fun with and I wouldn’t be able to do this project at all without it.
I also used ChatGPT to create the structure for the song while I changed up the words and exact lines.
For the image, I used Midjourney AI even though I think all the AI image generators will automatically give you a Gandalf-like image upon typing the word “Wizard”. At least, they will if you don’t type in “a Harry Potter type wizard.” But I was insistent that he was wearing sunglasses… the image I went with is the most fun even though it’s randomly missing the top of his hat…
