This song is called “GameGrumps” and it is one of the songs I created for the 30 Days of AI Song project I’ve been working on for June 2023.
GameGrumps is another of the first channels on YouTube that I subscribed too… which I suppose is not a big deal or anything… but it was over 10 years ago and that is something! If you don’t know who they are… they play video games and talk… which might not be much of a selling point to people but it’s quite important to introverts who like to game. There are quite a few of us out in the world and we appreciate those YouTube channels who play games and just talk like it’s just getting together and hanging out.
The song goes a bit further too… into my hopes of being a part of the YouTube landscape. I had always really hoped to be a “merry prankster” type… which might only be a thing in my head… someone who pops up on various channels just for kicks and good off… not someone who does anything violent or indecent or anything… and in the earlier days of YouTube it seemed like a possibility… but now, I think I’m more just ignored than anything… not in a mean way or anything.
This song isn’t about me… it’s more about these gaming grumpsters that I admire and who’s videos make me feel less alone!
I used ChatGPT for the structure of this song with a bit of my own personal writing mojo. Then, of course, the music and vocals were created with songr.ai!
As for the image… I made several… they were all a bit disturbing too. The ones I made in NightCafe AIwere extremely neon and abstract but the ones in Leonardo AI kept giving me two of the exact same guys playing video games with each other. I went with an image from Midjourney AI, that ultimately seemed cozier. I’m not sure if it’s anywhere near accurate… I had a heck of a time getting the hair done at all…
